jos_friendsIn London on 15th October 2009 there is to be a ‘world first’ (probably) – a conference on Cancer of Unknown Primary.  The tag line is
Overcoming the unknown: new approaches to the diagnosis & treatment of CUP.
The conference is being organised by Jo’s friends an increasingly appreciated resource for anyone with an interest in CUP.

The keynote speaker is Tony Greco a director of the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in the USA. Tony Greco is a name you will find many times over when you are searching for information on CUP.

The event is expected to be held in one of the Royal Colleges.

The main sponsors for the event are companies who are providing new ways of finding the original source of the cancer and hence removing the ‘unknown’ tag.

Matts Trust is assisting in a more modest way in providing bursaries to allow some individuals to attend.

Full details should be available in the near future from Jo’s Friends.
