Matt
Matt Hoyle was diagnosed with cancer in March 2005 when he was aged 25, but in the eight months of treatment and analysis he endured it was not possible to determine where the cancer originated – a situation known as “Cancer of Unknown Primary” or CUP.
Matt loved to get the most out of life, but he took good care of himself. He was a snowboard instructor of many years, a keen hacky-sack and Sepak Takraw player, and loved the outdoors. He’d completed a degree in Electronic Engineering and worked as a software developer in the oil industry. He was a dearly loved son and partner, and friend to many many people who all freely describe him as one of the sweetest people they ever met.
Sometimes life is random and unfair. The purpose of MTFC is to try and help reduce the impact on others going through the same experience Matt went through.
